Borrow a Boat In Myanmar [Burma]
Myanmar is home to the little known and totally unspoilt Mergui Archipelago which can be found to the south of the country close to the border with neighbouring Thailand. The islands were not open to foreign visitors until 1990 and you won’t find many people that have enjoyed boating around these islands. Look out for gibbons, eagles and the beautiful colourful and friendly reef fish – make sure you go snorkelling in one of the many turquoise lagoons.
If you are feeling like a longer sail, why not head West across the Andaman Bay to the Andaman Islands, which are an Indian archipelago in the Bay of Bengal.
