FULL-HALF DAY YACHT CRUISE THEODOROU - LAZARETA ISLAND

Destination: Theodorou and Lazareta Islands

Boat Location: Old Venetian Harbour in Chania

Our journey to the National Park of Theodorou island starts at 09:00a.m. During the departure from the old harbor, you will pass next to the lighthouse and you will have the opportunity to enjoy the panoramic view of the old town. Sailing west, you approach Theodorou island in only 20 minutes, where you will make the whole round of it.

Theodorou Island is a protected area, part of the program Natura 2000, due to the diversity and rarity of plants and animals, a unique minority only found in this small part of the world and its Historical remains.

Starting from the south end, you are going to pass close to a giant cave. Just above the cave, is the Venetian castle built in 1537. You will be informed about the history of the castle and the island by a member of the crew.

When you will reach the north side of Theodorou, you will see a small island, called Glaronisi. Then, you will enter the wildest part of the island called «black wall». At this point, you will likely see the famous and unique Cretan goat «Kri Kri».

The next stop is at the north side of the island, at «rock pile» point. An amazing place with crystal waters, starfish and shells. There, you will have the opportunity to swim or relax on our comfortable sun beds of the yacht while listening the sound of the waves and lounge music.

For the active passengers, this is a great location for snorkeling.

The last stop of the trip is above the wreck of the German aircraft «Junker 52» of the World War II. Another fantastic location for snorkeling!

Extra stop : Lazareta Island

Lazareta, is an uninhabited island close to the northern coast of Crete, It is located near the city of Chania .The beach on the southern side of the island is perfect for snorkeling and swimming.
